Fahrenheit walked into the danger room's control room to do her settings. She walked down to the room and pushed the start button. The doors closed and the simulation started up.
Suddenly, there was gun fire all around her. She reacted with a mental force feild. The bullets bounced off of it, though it hurt just as much as if they hit her though her body wasn't damaged. She whirled around to see three villians standing in front of her.
Fahrenheit shot her hands into they air collecting cosmic energy in the form of stellar fire. These energies made her the humanoid equivalent of a miniature sun. She shot a blast of fire at one of her attackers and he flew back stunned. She had missed him slightly. Another one had appeared and snuck up behind her. She picked him up using her mind and threw him into another attacker.
She shot yet another fire blast at an attacker this time hitting both him and the wall. The computer started going crazy and the settings switched from easy to hard. She was now fighting Apocalypse. She mustered up a huge stream of fire though Apocalypse merely defected it back at her with his sheild. She absorbed the fire back in, though it took a lot of concentration not to fall over. While she did this Apocalypse shot her with a blast. She flew back and hit her head on the wall. Stunned and confused she flew up in the air, but she hit the ceiling. She fell to the ground. While she was lying there Apocalypse picked her up. She was in loads of pain. Since she has telepathic abilities, she called out for some help. She screamed both mentally and literally.

Wish was outside the Danger Room when she heard the call for help. She wished herself inside, to see Fahrenheit in the grip of a holographic Apocalypse. She closed her eyes and said clearly, "I wish I was like Iceman." Ice formed on her palms. She had given herself the powers of Bobby, one of the New Mutants.
She raised her hand, pointing at Apocalypse. Ice streamed from her palms, to strike the holograph. It turned into a block of ice, releasing Fahrenheit.

Fahrenheit felt freezing cold and then fell to the ground with an umph. She lay there, dazed and confused, looking up at a frozen Apocalypse. Her head hurt tremensely from hitting the danger room floor. She turned her head just enough to see Wish looking at her with wide eyes. She tried to say, "Thank you," but sound barely came out of her mouth. Her throat was dry and her heart was still racing. It was then when she realized the program was still on... Her eyes raced about for movement of any kind, but at least for now nothing was happening.

Wish knelt beside Farhenheit. "Are you ok?" She asked. Wish's hands were freezing cold, a side effect of her new powers.

Megan shivered as she said, "I'm ok...." Her voiced trailed off. Goose-bumps were popping up all over her body. She then said, "Stand back a second." As soon as Wish had backed up, Fahrenheit lit herself into a miniture sun. The cold feeling all went away and she was back to normal. Her powers started healing her internally. She felt much better. She looked over at the wide-eyed Wish. Fahrenheit absorbed the fire that was on her body. She started to make her way over to the danger setting, but as soon as she did a gun shot at her back. She heard it and ducked. She whirled around to see that the room was changing. They were going into another round. She stood up and raced to the button but it disappeared as the room changed into a jungle scene. Before them was a tiger as big as a van. Riding it was a tall skinny man. He was holding a spear and had red war paint all over his body. The ground rumbled as more came towards them. Fahrenheits eyes slowly moved back to where the button used to be. It wasn't there any more.... "Uh-oh..." she wispered to herself. Her eyes were wide. There were about ten of these giant tigers and thousands of warriors in the trees armed with arrows.
Fahrenheit raced over to where she thought the button used to be and raced her hands across the jungle like wall. The hologram was hiding it from her, but she knew it was still there. The tigers charged and Fahrenheit lit up into a sun. She flew upward missing an attack from one of the tigers. The tiger now had itself placed right in front of the switch. Fahrenheit had the feeling, that it wasn't going to move anytime soon...

"Yay!" An ice spike struck the tiger, throwing it away from the switch. Wish ran towards Fahrenheit. "Get the switch!" She yelled, and whirled to freeze a tiger that had leapt at her. She put herself in between the tigers and warriors and Fahrenheit. She froze the ground under the warriors, making them all slip and slide. A tiger slashing into her side, and she froze it solid. She pressed a hand to her side, feeling blood. She bit her lip and froze another tiger.

Fahrenheit raced for the switch. She still couldn't see it, but she had a pretty good guess where it was. Her hands raced around on the wall. She was moving quickly knowing that Wish was having trouble taking on so many at once. Her hands finally sunk in and imediately fell around a switch. With all her might she flung the switch down. The holograms stopped moving and Fahrenheit breathed a sigh of relief. She walked over to Wish, both of them breathing hard. The holograms faded out and they could see the door again. Fahrenheit's heart was beating extremely fast. She took a moment to catch her breath. She caught a glimpse of Wish's side as Wish turned away trying to hide it from her. "Oh, Wish. Are you ok?" Fahrenheit took off her glove and used it to soak up some of the blood and help clean out the wound. She saw Wish flinch as she touched her side. "I'm so sorry Wish. Its all my fault...." her voiced trailed off.

"No it isn't<" Wish said. "It's my fault, for letting that tiger get so close in the first place. Come on, let's get out of here." She walked towards the door, then looked behind her to see if Fahrenheit was coming.

Fahrenheit paused for a moment before following Wish. She was about to argue back that it was her fault for being in there in the first place, but decided that Wish was not comprimising on this one. She caught up to Wish and they both walked out of the Danger Room. Fahrenheit was glad to come out of there with only a few new bruises and scars. As they walked away, Fahrenheit felt the need to say something, but no words came to mind, so she walked in silence.

Wish smiled. "At least we trained," She said cheerfully. "That's good. And don't worry. The danger room is automaticly programmed to stop if someone's life is in danger. It would have stopped for us anyways, if it got too bad." She looked back to grin at Fahrenheit.

Fahrenheit smiled. Wish was right and her words were helping Fahrenheit to calm down. They walked outside the Danger Room and the door closed behind them. "Thank you for everything...." Fahrenheit said.

"No problem," Wish replied. "I'm sure you would have done the same if it was me in trouble. That's what friends are for, right?"

"Right." Megan said as if it were common sense. She glanced at Wish's side, but the cut seemed to be healing rather quickly. Wish must have wished for something. Megan looked back up at Wish, who had a smile on her face. Megan smiled back.

Wish rubbed her head, feeling slightly dizzy. That's it, I can't wish for so much anymore. "Let's go. I think I've had enough of the Danger Room, or the lower levels for today."
