As it was, Jex was a bit of an oddity, but having pieces of metal stuck in either side of each of his temples that resembled bolts, didn't help. In fact, in made his life if anything worse than it had been before the Professor decided to help out. Now closely resembling Frakenstein, Jex wore either a hat or combed his naturally messy hair over the bolts.
Walking down the hall, Jex studied each of the numbers above the classroom doors. 100, 101, 102, 103, ah! Here we are, homeroom. he thought in a mock cheery tone in his mind. He entered the room, and almost turned to retreat when he saw the gang of people he'd been avoiding.
"Quick, get a tranquilizer, the monster's back!" they chanted in unison. Jex did his best to ignor them as he took a seat in the back of the room, pulling up him sweatshirt hood. Oh if I didn't have these bolts in my brain, you'ld all be toast.

Allan, pushing his way through the new students trying to find their homerooms, stembled through the doorway. He saw that the group of jerks had returned to tease Jex yet again. "Oh shut up!" Allan said, loud enough for the group to hear clearly, without drawing the teachers attention. Allan had once hung out with that group, before he'd found out what he was. He still held a sort of status among them. "Hey." Allan said, taking his seat beside Jex. "You ok?" he asked, knowing what the answer would be.

Jex looked up at Allan, rolling his mint green eyes. "Oh yeah, I'm just wonderful." he said stupidly. Though out of the three of them (Allan, Era and himself) he was probably the smartest, thats what comes of being a psychic illusionist. "Got you schedule?" he asked, glancing up at the door for a moment to see if Era had arrived yet.

"Yeah, here." he said, reaching in his jacket pocket for the small piece of paper that had written on it all his courses, in the order that he was taking them. As he handed Jex the piece of paper, he too glanced up at the door to look for Era. If she wasn't there in a few seconds, she'd be late for the first day of school, which wasn't like her at all.

Era slid through the doorway just as the bell sounded. She let out a yelp as she nearly missed smashing into the teacher's neatly kept desk. She straightend herself up and made her way to the back of the room where she collapsed into a chair between Allan and Jex. Catching their glances, she sighed and said, "I'll explain later."

The second bell sounded, and Allan stood up from his seat and stretched. "I'm glad that's over." he said with a yawn. "I'm hittin' the pool the second we get back. How about you guys?" Allan asked, stuffing his books into his black book sac and slipping it over his shoulder.

"I'd love to, but Xavier wants to do some more experimemts on my mind." he said, strongly emphasizing the "more". "If your still out there when he's through, I'll join you." he added, collecting his backpack and pulling his hood up once more over his head.

"I'll be there." Era said, delighted at the thought of the refreshing water. Era followed behind her two friends as they made their way down the stone steps and into the school yard. Era saw Scott pull out of his parking spot with Jean in the seat beside him. It was obviously to late to catch a lift. "Looks like we'll have to walk." she said, bending over to fix the toung of her red runner.
